ISS2014 Resorts World Singapore - April 2014

It's been a long time I was not able to do some blogs, Well, I don't want to say that I was so busy or maybe so lazy to do this thing again but I honestly missed doing this, (wink)  I was out of the country last April for Intel Solution Summit 2014 which was held in Singapore. This is a yearly event and our company is always invited since we are one of the Platinum Partners of Intel here in the Philippines.  I do love to travel especially if I don't spend a lot of money for it - hahaha!

Travelling for free is always a welcome part of my work even though it is sometimes so tiring aside from the fact that I am missing my family even for just three or four days. The food preparations I do a day before are an important habit I make before my trip...maybe you are wondering why I prepare some viands/food before going overseas? I do it because my husband does not cook, (Hehehe) I usually freeze four to five kinds of viands for them not to end eating to some fast foods or buying to go foods for four days. :) It is also my way for them to remember me even when I am away. :)

Just want to share some activities we did during the trip aside from the conference ofcourse. :)

The wonderful view that will welcome you every morning for three days. We were booked at Hardrock Hotel inside Resorts World Singapore.

Participants from different countries  (Asia Pacific) flocked at the registration area on the first day of the conference. Venue - Hardrock Hotel

ISS2014 Showcase Display. A lot of other vendors participated the event as exhibitors, showcasing the latest innovations and technologies that will be out in the market. I was one of the participants who enjoyed scanning a lot of  barcodes for some points and I also participated in some fun games.

Saw this on the entrance going to Universal Studio. The place was closed for the Intel event, we  enjoyed the Transformer rides.

Part of the scenes shown at Movies and Scenes inside Universal Studio

I grew up watching "Sesame Street during the early 80's. One of my favorite characters then was  Big Bird. :)

Outdoor swimming pool of Hardrock Hotel. The design of the fence - different kinds of guitars  caught my attention. Nice work indeed,

This was the Teclast Tpad Tablet I got as a reward from my accumulated points during the event, :) The scanning of barcodes in the showcase area was all worth it.(hehehe).

I always admire the beautiful flower garden/landscape inside the Changi Airport. I always look forward for it every time I'm in the area.

9 Smiley Things

Plain and Prints super cute bracelets. Bought it at Plain and Prints Mall of Asia for less than five    hundred pesos.

This Kate Spade Bracelet was a gift from my BFF. She bought two pieces - one  for me and one my daughter. It was a Christmas gift. You can see the words " Find the silver lining" engraved on the bracelet.

Baked this flourless peanut butter cookies for the first time. It was so yummy according to my daughter and it was gone in just one day!

My daughter loves Italian food - past and pizza. Instead of meat, I put some tuna and chicken hotdog.

I love eating raw mixed nuts. Saw this at Cocogreen in Makati. It cost P345 pesos. When at work and feel hungry, I usually snack a handful before lunchtime.

Another healthy food I used to add in our fresh fruit and veggies juices or smoothies.

This bracelet I bought in XOXO shop in Southmall, Alabang. Price was so cheap cause there was a buy one take one sale at that time. Bought it for only P250.00. :)

Callos. I bought this at Contis Bakeshop and Restaurant, My husband loves it.

Contis' empanadas have different fillings - chicken, salmon, cheese and tuna. Salmon is my favorite. It costs P20 per piece.

Hongkong and Macau Trip October 2013

The entrance going to Disneyland. It was my fist time so I was so excited!

This is the way going to the " It;s Small World Ride" Disneyland.

The Disneyland Parade. I saw almost all of the Disney characters riding in their beautiful floats.

The big and very nice room was all by myself.

The Galaxy Hotel wherein all of us was booked. It was a very nice five star hotel.

Macau Hotels have a very nice display at their lobbies. This is the wonderful display of colors inside the lobby of our hotel - Galaxy Hotel.

Mickey Mouse was trying to dance with me. It was a lot of fun!

I have fear of heights  or acrophobia. Since I was trying to overcome it, I tried the famous Macau Tower Skywalk X. It was 764 feet high.  My knees were trembling plus the cold winds...ughhh! I will never do it again for sure. I just smiled for the camera to pretend I was ok. When our coach told me to sit and look down...I was not able to do it. Sooooo afraid!

They were my companion for this trip.We were few about 8 IT Resellers only from the Philippines.

The mouthwatering appetizer at Don Alfonso Restaurant.

Inside the Venetian Hotel Macau. There is a man made canal there, when you see the moving   painted "clouds", you will think that it is for real.

I know the posts were already soooo late, but it was only now I find the time to do this (hehehe). I know that to be a better blogger, postings should be updated but well, please bear with me. :) I had the opportunity to be back to Hongkong again and explore Macau for the first time. Thanks for the incentive trip given by Toshiba to its top partners. I was so excited cause I have been to Hongkong four times already but never to HK Disneyland. Anyway, I was like a child again, so happy to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse for the first time. I had also the chance to dance with Mickey Mouse, it was actually an animal dance! (ha!ha!ha!) I am not a good dancer and same goes with Mickey mouse so I think- it was fair! Our first stop was HK Disneyland straight from the Airport. It was arranged to be that way. Anyway, nobody compalined...all were happy and excited! After Disneyland we went to check in to our hotel...hahah I can't remember the name! Anyway, it was a nice four star hotel near so many stalls. HK was so busy even it was already midnight! The next day we traveled to Macau thru ferry. We were checked in to one of the five star hotels in Macau - the Galaxy Hotel. The next day we had a very short business meeting with the Sophos executive and then we tour around the city. We went to Macau Tower and did the Skywalk. We had a very nice dinner at one of the finest Italian restaurant there - Don Alfonso at Grand Lisboa Hotel. I tried to play the slot machine for a while together with a friend but as expected, the casino games are  not for me! Went back to my room and sleep. :)

Phuket May 2013

I had the chance last May of 2013 to visit Phuket again. There was a Sophos Asia Pacific Conference  and I was the lucky one assigned to attend it from our company. :) That is one of the benefits of being in sales, you can travel to other countries, booked in one of the five stars resorts or hotels for free! Anyway, it was a nice break for me. I always love travelling. I liked it though honestly,  sometimes it is so tiring and stressful. Yes, I am beginning to start blogging again....hmmmm...not sure until when but one of my short term goals is to blog once or twice a month, maybe? hehehehe

Find time to relax a little bit, after the massage. :)

With one of our Corporate Account Managers, Rachel. My travel companion, it was her first time to travel abroad and we had a lot of funny moments together! :)

This was the breathtaking view from our room. We can see the beach which is few minutes walk from Movenpick Resort.

I love what the chef did with the water melon, it was so artistic....lovely!

During the cocktails night, there were pretty ladies and boys wearing angel and devil costumes!

A nice photo with Sophos employees and Sophos Partners.

We waited for this moment, it was worth the looong wait. Sunset at Phuket Beach is simply amazing!

Friday, we went to Tagaytay to have lunch at Sonya's Garden. We decided to side trip to Skyranch and tried the SkyEye Ferris Wheel. The overlooking view of Taal Lake was breathtaking! I thought I was actually falling down! Can't explain the feelings but glad that I made it! :):):) Need to try some more like that to overcome it...;) wink..:) I have convinced my 70 yrs old father and my husband to join us. They were hesitant at first but since I applied some of my convincing skills...hehehe... they agreed to try it. :)

9 Smiley things this week :)

Hello again, how was your past week?  As what I have started this month, whenever I find time, I will write about things that captured my attention, things or memories that made me smile, some things I bought for myself or for a special someone (wink) or things that were given to me...that made me smile :):):).  This is  to remind me that there are small things in this world that  can make me happy..... I just have to stop and notice them.  Oftentimes we are always in a rush to do things that we don't really get to see smiley things in our sorroundings, smiley things on our way to work and smiley little gestures of kindness around us. Wishing you all  smiley things and memories in your life this week. :)

Tuna Steak with buttered veggies. Cooked this early in the morning before going to work for my hubby and daughter's lunch. Some of it I brought in the office for my lunch too. :) Whenever I can, I see to it I have my packed lunch cause I am trying to count the calories of the food I eat...so difficult to do but I am learning. :)

Spaghetti with Shrimps. My daughter's favorite food. I usually cooked pasta for her. I don'[t know why she loves Italian foods but I have learned to cooked it the way she wants it.  The imported tomato sauce was given by my sister. :)

Red Roses (Centerpiece flowers in Marriot Hotel). I attended the Executive League event of Lenovo and Microsoft. These roses caught my attention...so lovely!

Pink carnations. I asked a favor from a colleague to buy me these flowers.  The carnations were given to a close friend's mom who is sick of Cancer (1st stage). She just had her operation and maybe  will start her chemo treatments  soon.  Together with another close friend, we prayed for her.

Rudy Project Watch. Given by Lenovo to all their guests. We were about seven companies. Mr. Llyod Luna was the speaker. Something I learned from him - " Be careful" in everything that you do - business decisions, relationships, health..every aspects of your life. We can be good and successful, it's our choice!

Unlimited Drops. All natural ingredients -trace minerals (from Salt lake of Utah), virgin coconut oil, milk butter, lemon and aloe vera. For personal care and hygiene, for first aid too. Price is P300 pesos.

Safe Haven by Nicolas Sparks. Watched the movie and I liked it so I bought the book. Started already a few chapters and I included this to my list to remind me that I have something to finish this month aside from the Photography book. :)

8 in 1 Micswell Coffee. This is  a special coffee - do you want to know why? They say that it can reduce your electricity bills. Well, I can't believe it also but I want to try.. hehehe...I will let you know. :) One box cost P165 only

Bananas. We call it "Saba" here in the Philippines. My secretary gave these bananas for my hubby.."his supply" - she said. It made me smile :)  It came from Quezon province. She knows that it's my hubby's favorite fruit. So many benefits this fruit can give our bodies - it lowers our blood sugar and controls hypertension. He eats this fruit every single day...just like monkeys! hehehe
