My Sydney Trip

I was given a very rare opportunity to travel and visit Sydney, Australia for the first time. Thanks to Microsoft for sponsoring our trip. Sydney - I dont know how to describe properly the place but it made an impact to me. Since it was winter when I came, it was freezing cold especially at night...but I realized that I enjoyed the weather compared it to our very hot climate here in Manila. Since, I can't afford to be on leave for a long time, it was a full packed three days tour arranged to our group. First stop was Bondi Beach. Then a buffet lunch at Grace Hotel, Dinner Cruise in Sydney Showboat. While Showboat girls were performing, I decided to go out and see Sydney's view at night. Seagulls were flying as if it were racing with the boat. Clean air, so cold and yet no undesired smell, I remembered our Pasig River and felt a pain in my heart. By the way, the show was fantastic. The show girls (are they girls? not sure) were representing different song and dance numbers from different countries. Viva Las Vegas, a Chinese dance, a Tango, Mexican dance were performed....Again, I wondered why there was no Tinikling Dance or Carinosa Dance. Just a wishful thinking. While having our 3 course dinner, the steak was so big, I was not able to finish it. But the lobster was yummy! A lady approached us and took a shot of me and my friend Prep, after a few minutes came back and sold a picture that cost almost P400 pesos! Then because of excitement or sign of old age, I forgot it on my chair, was not able to bring it home...huhuhu.... Next day, we went to Taronga Zoo, enjoyed a cable ride...ooops...they enjoyed the cable ride except me....I was afraid of heights, can't even look at the view from were I was seated...I recalled the first time I rode a cable car in HongKong....since my companion at that time knew that I was afraid, he shook the cable car while it moved to its destination. First time to see Koala bears eating eucalyptus, so cute and cuddly. I was able to touch the Kangaroo...they are lazy animals I think... most of the Kangaroos were just lying down and doing nothing! We had our lunch at Garden Buffet Restaurant....So many food choices...from salads, pastas, noodles, steaks, seafoods, veggies, fruits, cheese, ice cream...I tried my best to control my diet. I remembered eating a plate of cold shrimps. After the heavy lunch we went to Paddy's Market. Time to lose some calories! I bought some stuffs for pasalubong....comparing prices, our Divisoria Market is still the cheapest! Since I kept on comparing prices I was not able to buy things I like, it was only when I decided not to compute the Peso equivalent of an item I was able to buy some stuff....Dinner at Sydney Centerpoint Tower...Just the like the previos buffet...you can eat all you want, so many food choices including Kangaroo meat! I did not try it...I can't...I remembered them in Tarongga Zoo... The view at night in Sydney Centerpoint Tower was so beautiful...I saw the whole Sydney. Next day destination was Hunter Valley. We had wine tasting at Mc Guigangs and cheese tasting at Hunter Valley Cheese Making. Side trip to Chocolate Store. A very tiring day, got tipsy after tasting 15 shots of different wine! Next destination was Hard Rock Cafe. We had a sumptious dinner there, very big servings of steaks and Ribs! After that we went to enjoy the scenic view in Darling Harbour, we had cocktails there in one of the bars. Well, I dream of visiting that part of the world again...with my loveones.
