Changi Singapore Airport's Orchid Garden

Can anyone tell me what's the name of these orchids?

Violets are blue, orchids are violets... :)

The Koi fishes surrounded by the colorful orchids.

The beautiful orchids....love the colors!

The orange Koi fish whisphered something...let me guess..." I love you?"

I was there because of our connecting flights from Bali to Manila.... We have to wait for about two hours. I saw the beautiful Orchid Garden. Oh, as usual, I stopped and took some photos while my companion, Ma'am Cristy left me and bought some drinks in Starbucks. I love flowers! I am always in high spirits when I am in the garden or park.

A tribute to my loving Mamsie on Mother's day!!!

My mom's photo when she was studying in Cebu City, she was almost 20 yrs old there.

A graduation photo, she was 21 yrs old there. She graduated BS in Early Education. She practiced her profession only for very few years and became a housewife and homemaker all her life. I and my 4 siblings were raised well and we all finished our studies because of her sacrifices and love.

Wedding picture  - December 22, 1968. Coincidentally, my mom died last  December 22, 2011 during their 43rd wedding anniversary.

I was only five or six years old there, my sis Leovz was 4, Bong was 3 and Neng 2 years old. And our youngest brother Josim came after 8 years.

This was December 24, 2010. It was her last Christmas with us cause she finally left us the next year before Christmas.

Remembering Mamsie, as we fondly call her brings up mixed emotions...but I know she is in a better place now. After almost 5 years of suffering from twice or thrice a week of dialysis procedure, drinking lots of medicines and bearing all the pain of her sickness, she died peacefully.  I sometimes asked Jesus in my prayers to whisper to my mom how much we miss and love her. :)

Bali, Indonesia 2012

This was the view I got to see every morning from my hotel room. A breathtaking view of the sunrise and the calm sea. The reflections from the sun produced colors of reddish pink colors.

Every morning at breakfast time, I was greeted by this scene....I saw birds hunting fishes there, a squirrel running around the trees, lovely water lilies and school of fishes.

This was the food I ordered for my $35 US dollars  dinner coupon. A spicy mixed of seafoods and meats.

At the pool side wherein the gala night was held. The delegates had a good time there with lots of dirnks, buffet food including grilled seafoods. They danced the night away after the two days conference. I saw a korean and an indian pushed by their friends on that pool. haha!

Just came back from Bali. I was one of the 600 delegates who attended the Intel Solutions Summit 2012. Since MISPI is one of Intel's Platinum Partners, every year we are being invited to join this event. Booked at one of the finest and expensive resorts there, the Westin Resorts Nusa Dua. I was told that our accommodations for three nights cost almost $900 US dollars!  Going to Bali was about 8 hours travel from the Philippnes. There was a connecting flight to Sngapore and then Bali, price of the ticket was $603 US dollars two way. ISS 2012 was a very successful event. Transformations, ultrabooks, All in One pcs and business solutions were the topics of the conference. Our schedule was so tight that I and my lady bossdidnt have the time to swim...well, maybe in Boracay next month, we will do it. :)

Yummy Cappuccino Cheesecake

New York Cheesecake

White Chocolate Chunk Macadamia Nut Cheesecake

Pina Colada Cheesecake

I finally met her, one of my favorite chefs...Ms. Heny Sison. :):):)   I used to watched her on tv with her cooking shows when I was in my teenage years. I can till recall how she decorated a beautiful cake and when she does the baking, it seems to me that baking is sooooo easy to do. Anyway, why I decided to learn from her and actually enroll to one of her baking classes because I was just looking back and remembering my first love....baking! I used to bake when I was in high school and that was more than three  decades ago. My auntie Edna was the one who taught me the basic steps of how to make chiffon cakes, banana cakes, brownies and cassava cakes. Just last month, I started baking again after seventeen long years. I don't know why when I got married, I instantly forgot about it. Thanks to my husband who bought me a new oven. I started baking again. So far I baked cheesecakes, cookies and brownies. Oh, I love baking cheesecakes. I will show you some of my cheesecakes collection on my next blogs...that if I will find a time. :)

Amazing Boracay September 2011

For the third time, I was blessed to visit again Boracay...this time - with my family. It was a birthday gift for myself (aside from the very expensive  bag I bought ...hehehe) that I promised myself not to buy that same brand again. :). Since I won a hotel accommodation (Alta Vista) in a raffle during one of the Rotary International District 3780 events, I think it was a Midyear Conference held their in  Boracay when I was still a Club President for RCDH. I won the major prize! Anyway, I arranged with the hotel all the transfers needed by boat and land for a hassle free travel. We arrived there in Caticlan late in the afternoon so we checked in around 6 pm in the afternoon. I didn't make any itinerary....since we really want to rest and enjoy the beautiful island...we had a good time! My hubby Mike enjoyed the place and Micmay had fun too in the beach. The next day, my cousin Precious from Bacolod came  to join us. Yes, Boracay really amazes me...the breathtaking sunsets, the milky white colored sand, the wonderful people. The hotel gave me a birthday cake...they found out that it was my birthday on my registration...It was a lovely cute cake! The staff there were accommodating and helpful no wonder they are always fully booked. By June 2012 I will be back there again...and still even for the fourth time...Excited!

Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur, Philippines

Last Holy week, April 2012 - had a chance to travel with my family to one of the soon to be famous (I predict) islands in the Philippines - The Caramoan Islands. The famous TV Series " Survivor USA" was shooting there at the time of our visit.

We have enjoyed our stay, slept there using a tent, drank spring water that comes directly from top of the mountains, hear the waves in the middle of the night and praying hard that no tsunami will come our way hehehe, hearing the songs of the crickets, witnessing the very bright moon (it was a full moon then), saw some fireflies....what a wonderful experience! We did some island hopping in the morning, swam on one of the islands there, the Matukad Island wherein the sands are creamy white and very fine...well, we really had a wonderful time!
